Project title Non-Verbal Communication in Clinical Setting
____________________________________________My research examines the role of a novel hand-signalling system for use in the dental surgery - to assist non-verbal communication by patients during peri-operative interventive dental procedures. This innovative system could help assist with supporting consent, protect the dignity of the patient and demonstrably show shared decision making by the patient. At present no such verifiable or recognised system exists.
